Recommendation the book

I would advocate THE AUSTRALIAN CONNECTION for those people, who like books which shows how it is if a band is going to be famous and if you also like love story's!
But if you prefer to read thrillers or something like that, then you'll better to read an other book.

A mini saga for chapter 9 and 10

Everything come to an end!
Like the band's success. By reason, Joe and Pete drink alcoholic drinks on stage so, the band have to disband.
But Dani moves with Alex to England and they have success with their band "The Dolphins".
They celebrate the New Year's Eve with Alex's family.

Chapter Nine: ...and down to eath & Chapter Ten: New Year's Eve

"All good things come to an end..." (p.49/l.1)

The only thing we was right was, that the band's success decreased!

Because Joe and Pete began to drink alcohol and yet they had their heads shaved...
And then everything went wrong, nobody wanted to bought their album , in their concerts were only the half of audience and no one cheered, etc. ... But the worst thing was, as Pete and his friends began to fought on stage!!
So the band disbanded completely...
Because of the deal with his mother, Alex went back to England, to go to the university but Dani came with him!
They built a new group "The Dolphins"and played in local pubs.
And Alex will change his family name into Reid because Peter was more his father like Tom, he was always there for him and Tom is rather his friend than his father.

Chapter Eight : Up to the top...

If you ask me, my favorite part in this chapter is as the author list all the things which happened when they gained fame. (<--for example: they only went first class anymore. )Because in this part Alex was just happy and so nothing went wrong and so on...
And I also think, that it is very great that the band is so popular so that they were invited at a talk-show or the radio etc. .

Do you agree with me or have you another opinion?

Chapter Seven: Father and son

1. Comment on the following quote: "And of course, Alex understood only too well." (p.43 / l.33)
2. Write a different ending of the chapter: "That night, when Alex had gone to sleep TOM picked up his diary and began writing." (compare p.43/ l.34f)

1. In My opinion, it means that Alex now understand, why his father left the family.
Tom felt relay hemmed in so that he travelled all over the world...
And the way I see it, Alex feel a little bit like his father did ,because Alex never thought that he miss his mother and friends in England.

Friday, 8 February

Today I told Alex why I left him and I must admit that I was relay nervous about his reaction, but he said that he understand me and now I'm absolutely eased!
It is so nice to be together with Alex I missed him so much and he exceed all my expectations!
How do I deserve him?

After reading chapter 6

I thought true, as I thought, that Alex will be angry (the best example for that is on p. 32/l. 6 "banged the glass angrily on the table"), but I was very surprised as I read that Alex forgive Tom so fast!
And I wondered when Alex asked Tom why he never sent a postcard on Christmas and tom answered that he thought, that Alex hate him, even IF he hate him he had wrote a card anyhow!

Before reading chapter 6

I think, that Alex will ask Tom why he left the family and why he emigrated to Australian.
I also think, that Alex will be very nervous because he wouldn't know how he behave and so on...
Or it could be possible, that they will have an argument, because Alex is so angry about his father, and I would relay understand him, I think, I'd react in the same way!

3.What will Tom say if Alex ask him why he never contact him when he was in London?

Chapter Five: The face in the crowd

In my opinion the chapter is very hard for Alex and the other band members.
First of all they had a puncture, so they had to wait for a car who helped them three hours.
But as they drove only ten miles, the next disaster happened: they hit a cow so hard that the animal had died at once. They phoned the police an dove on.
Then the engine broke down in the middle of the Blue Mountains. Terry (a boy from the band) got help. The man who came with him, fix the engine, but he was a crook because he claimed $200. But nothing else remains to be done to them, so they had to gave him the money.
In Sydney they made a very good show and it was the first time that Alex saw his father for a long time!

Chapter Four: The big decision

Dani and Alex have their first disagreement.
-Why? -What is it about? -Whats your opinion about it?

Dani and Alex argue about the penguins.
Alex think, that they are very sweet and so on, but he also think that they looked lost and afraid. But as he tells that Dani she couldn't understand him why he think so, because, before, he said to her that he likes to be in the spotlight and now he tells that it is not right, that is a contrast!

In my opinion Alex' aspect is right, and Dani couldn't confer him with a penguin.

But I think that it was a good idea from Dani to show Alex how the real life from a star is.

Chapter Three : The island and the mountain

Whats happened on top of St Mary's Peak?
Alex and Kevin talked about Tom and I think, that Alex was really proud that he had the same thoughts like his father. But he also was very angry, because Tom never noticed that Alex exist.

Why does Alex think "Let him see how he likes it". Who is he? What will he like or not?
I think that "he" is Tom, but I don't actually know, what he means with: let him see how he likes it", but maybe he will be arrogant to his father, because he was so unfair to Alex or he want to see if Tom likes him or not.

Alex first 66 hours in Australia

The first 66 hours in Australia were very exciting for Alex.
At first, he was a little bit sat, because his father was not at the airport to collected him, but then he had a wonderful day on the beach with Mary, Dominic and Luke. And than, he met Dani and went with her to a concert, where she played the keyboard and she directly invited him to play the guitar.
I think, he likes her very, very much!!!

Chapter One: The trip of a lifetime

I think, that the first chapter was very good, because everything was good avowed.
But I long to know why his father left Alex and his mum, why he emigrated to Australia and if he have a new family...

I also think that Alex do the right, to visit his father in Australia, because he as he saw his father the last time Alex was just a little boy.
